Two years of near-daily blogging
And to celebrate, a redesign!
Here's where I started properly - and since then it's been near-daily updates all the way.
I liked the old design, but although it worked fine in Firefox and Safari, I'd been getting a few complaints that it didn't show up properly in Internet Explorer - the sidebars weren't working properly and ended up overlapping the posts.
This should now be fixed - although the second sidebar still doesn't sit right in IE, for reasons that utterly escape me (any suggestions much appreciated, etc.). Trackbacks and Linkbacks also never seemed to work, which was annoying - I'm going to try and add those in during the next few days, if I can work out how.
Still, not bad for a coding novice, eh? Constructive criticism in the comments, if I can get them working in the next few minutes before I go to bed (they seem to have vanished at the moment, and I don't know why...) - ta!

Redesign looks much cleaner - I'm forced to yse IE at work, so it's appreciated, haha.
For what its worth, it looks as close to Firefox as you are likely to get in Internet Explorer 7
Two year? I remember when it was all fields round here.
Many happy returns.
It looks much clearer now and doesn't take as long to load.
I still reckon the title confuses a few people though.
Happy Birthday anyway.
Indeedy, many happy returns to one of my early inspirations...

Congratulations, both on the anniversary and the new look. I'm impressed! You can certainly squeeze more out of blogger than most users of this platform, myself included.
Many happy returns.
Good good - nice to know those hours of drunken fiddling weren't entirely wasted (unlike me as I was doing it...)
And Steve - yep, the title confuses the hell out of people all the time. Which can be vaguely amusing... Still, I may ponder re-introducing an explanatory strapline as and when I do a proper redesign of the logo (as is no doubt obvious, that was a two minute re-jig of the old one - I really ought to do something that's a bit more of a fit with the new look...)
Hapy Blogthday Monkey-man.
Congratulations!
happy birthday, nosey.
i like the new look, and the sidebar sorting for those of us who have to use IE is greatly appreciated.
I must say, though, that I'm glad I've got good eyesight. That light blue on blue text style really isn't very user-friendly.
Also, it seems now that one can't select text. While I've no need to do so, I'd imagine that it'd help anyone who wanted to quote you in one of their posts.
