Hey, Off Topic, but bear with me.. I'm writing a little piece on the Vauxhall incident. i just found this extra eye witness account on the BBC. 'I got onto the Victoria Line train at Brixton, where I suspect that the bomber may have got on. Then just after it left Stockwell tube station, the carriage started to fill up with a strange chemical like smoke which we at first tried desperately to ignore. As the smoke grew thicker everyone started to scream and rush to the ends of the carriage, unfortunately the end that I was at had no access to the other carriage. So we all just crouched down on the floor, praying and waiting for the tube to pull into Vauxhall. Then as the train started to pull into Vauxhall station we all got up and waited to be let off. It was then that I saw the lone red and grey bag seeping smoke, it then was clear to me that this was a failed bomb attack. As the doors opened we spilled out onto the platform running and screaming, but then we calmed down and just quickly walked out of the station.'
What the F?!! That is so precise, it makes you wonder. No? Any more thoughts? You are something of an expert on this!
Odd - hadn't seen that one before... Don't know what to make of it - unless you can get hold of the person who posted it to verify, it's hard to tell whether to believe it or not. Still too many conflicting accounts.
Either way, I'm 95% certain that the Vauxhall incident can't be separated from the shooting of the Brazilian if the latter is ever going to be sufficiently explained. It appears to have happened 30-45 minutes before the Stockwell shooting - probably around the time our unlucky Brazilian was leaving his flat. If the rozzers had reports of a device going off nearby and thought they were following a possible terrorist, the shoot to kill order and genreal jumpiness of the police becomes rather more understandable and excusable - Especially if there actually WAS a device involved at Vauxhall.
So perhaps when the hearings into the Stockwell shooting are complete we may get better understanding of what went on at Vauxhall. It's still very odd that there are so many reports of smoke though - and more so that something which could help excuse the shooting hasn't been played up more, which you'd have expected them to do even if there WASN'T actually a bomb on the train if only to get their officers off the hook a bit...
"Great and even-handed" - The BBC
"Such an attitude, as people have probably told Mr. Nosemonkey before, will get you nowhere: but that doesn't mean what he's saying's not true" - Channel 4 News

Unity,
I reckon you are being really unfair to the Sunday Sport!

Who takes the time to look for Victor Mildrew's pattern in the stars?
