- MI5 - apologists for terror (applying the government's logic, at any rate):
"Though they have a range of aspirations and 'causes', Iraq is a dominant issue for a range of extremist groups and individuals in the UK and Europe. Some individuals who support the insurgency are known to have travelled to Iraq in order to fight against coalition forces. In the longer term, it is possible that they may later return to the UK and consider mounting attacks here."

Off topic somewhat, but I wondered if you've noticed this yet, Nosemonkey
Yep - but have been waiting for confirmation. Pretty much everything about that incident is confused and has changed umpteen times, so until we get an official account backed up with independent verification from CCTV footage, I'm trying to avoid believing anything.
Back to the effing topic: when you get to see what MI5 say in its natural state (i.e. without Mr Blair's little helper, Mr Scarlett - formerly of the Joint Intelligence Committee - sexing it up according to a Campbell recipe) then your opinion of them improves, does it not?
Yesterday, Sheikh M. Al-Naseem the grand Mufti of Birmingham showed there are still Muhammedan clerics with real backbone: "Tony Blair is a liar [...] So we cannot give our blind trust to the Government[...]There seems to be a directive to target Muslims. Terrorists can be anybody- we will have to see wether the bombers are truly Muslims"
Wow! As far as I´m concerned, the guy is the greatest Muslim thinker since the days of Avicen of Bukhara
